    ATTORNEY SUE-ANN ROBINSON TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE AFTER FILING LAWSUIT ON BEHALF OF SHANQUELLA ROBINSON'S FAMILY

     Charlotte, NC – Attorney Sue-Ann Robinson, representing the family of Shanquella Robinson, has officially filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of Mecklenburg County on behalf of her mother, Sallamondra Robinson. The legal action, directed against Daejhanae Jackson, Alysse Hyatt, Malik Dyer, Wenter Donovan, Khalil Cooke, Nazeer Tyree Wiggins(collectively known as the "Cabo Six"), the United States Department of State, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), seeks justice for the tragic and unlawful death of Shanquella Robinson.

    Shanquella Robinson, a 25-year-old entrepreneur, was brutally attacked during what was meant to be a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in October 2022. This vacation ended in tragedy when Shanquella was assaulted, resulting in her death. Despite significant evidence, including viral video footage of the assault, and an investigation conducted by Mexican authorities, justice has been delayed.
    The suit alleges multiple counts of wrongful death, battery, negligence, conspiracy, and emotional distress against the individuals involved. Additionally, the lawsuit holds both the U.S. Department of State and the FBI accountable for their failures in handling critical aspects of the case. These failures include negligence in investigating the murder and responding to the family’s requests for vital information.
    Shanquella Robinson’s family, through this lawsuit, seeks compensatory and punitive damages to address the profound emotional and financial toll this incident has caused. The family continues to call for the arrest and extradition of Daejhanae Jackson, who is wanted in Mexico for femicide.

    This lawsuit is not just about seeking justice for Shanquella Robinson; it’s about holding accountable those who were entrusted with the duty to investigate, act, and protect the interests of U.S. citizens abroad. The heartbreaking details of Shanquella's death and the subsequent mishandling by federal authorities only add to the family's grief, and they deserve both full transparency and justice.
